Pengrowth Energy - Westward Ho VRU & Flare Meter Installation
Gas Liquids Engineering Ltd. (GLE) provided complete EPCM services for the installation of a new Vapour Recovery Unit (VRU) and Flare Meter at Pengrowth Energy’s Westward Ho facility. The recent addition of two 1500 bbl oil storage tanks would have resulted in flaring above 0.9e³m³/day, which required the installation of the new VRU and Flare Meter. Project scope included:
- One (1) 100 hp single-stage VRU c/w piping to two new 1500 bbl oil storage tanks, existing 500 bbl recycle oil storage bullet, existing 750 bbl bullet setup for future additional oil storage
- Existing LP Flare System orifice flow meter replaced with new Annubar type flow meter
- Control and instrumentation to facilitate complete remote automated control
